Haiku – Mom – The True Rock Star

Robbed these two from myself. Not a lot of time to write something for mom this year, but I didn’t want to let the day go by without giving all moms a nod. I’m a stay at home dad and I see first hand how awesome moms are. They are true rock stars. Happy Mother’s Day to all moms out there.

Love, safety, comfort

In the caring arms of mom

All you ever need

How to describe a mom,

well,

it may be too hard to do,

without leaving out,

too many things,

that are true.

For a mom is a blessing,

a true gift from God,

her patience and virtue,

is something,

you could never prod?

Children gleefully laughing

Playing as they wait

A colorful butterfly

Resting for a spell

Just past the stop sign

Down an unused dead-end street

Sat the house of screams
