Slow awakening
Haiku blog – Phoenix rising
Within the ashes
or
Winter stark and bleak
A specter in the springtime
Haunting the warm days
Dark overcast skies
The warmth of springtime sunshine
Buried in the grey
Beauty of springtime
Cool morning mist laying soft
Grass covered in white
Inspirational
Listening to the birds sing
Mother Nature’s muse
A hard rain falling
Splashing upon new flowers
Blossoming in white
Winter’s stark return
Springtime’s new blossoming blooms
Frozen and chilly
Two bunnies courting
Racing around the small bush
A spring mating dance
🐇
Blooming white flowers
Decorating the bushes
Beautiful springtime

I wrote this one a few days ago and forgot about it. Thought I would post it.
Family of geese
Walking slowly together
Hunting for a meal
A chilly morning
Winter like a silver knife
Slices into spring
A long morning walk
Out among the fresh new day
Enjoying springtime
Explosion of pink
A raging fire of color
Spreading on the tree
+++
I love watching the cherry blossoms come alive during this time of year – so beautiful.
Quick question: Does fire have one or two syllables? I saw multiple post about how it could go either way.
Colors returning
Shaking off a brief cold snap
Flowers rejoicing
🌸
Pink and white flowers
Bursting with springtime colors
Covering the ground
Can you make out the pink and white flowers, as well as the new buds on the tree limbs, from this picture? It was taken from my window and my phone was zoomed into it. Not the best of pictures but it shows you what I am seeing outside my window as I write this Haiku.
Sipping on Coffee
Watching birds filled with color
Playing in the trees
Sunshine breaking through
Dancing across new flowers
Springtime rejoices
Among white blossoms
Enchanted kingdom awaits
Filled up with magic
Tree alive in pink
Spring releasing its color
Pleasure for the eyes
+++
Tiny little buds
Popping out on the branches
Brand new leaves forming
The birds are chirping
Underneath a bright blue sky
Springtime in their song
